In times like these you learn to live...again...

Let this be known: we will not make a habit out of writing weekend blogs - unless it's football season. But tonight, the other half was ailing, the only decent flick we could rent was Marathon Man, and....we stumbled upon our DVR stash of Everwood. We've seen every, single, episode of this show. We think it's brilliant. Nothing captures the teen experience - nay, the experience of life - quite like this show. That's what makes it so painful to watch. You see these characters, in these situations that vaguely resemble those that you had years ago, and all you want - all you ask for - is a chance to do it over. Life doesn't give "do overs." But it gives another "go-around," and - having been the victim of attempted murder, for Mike's sake - we intend on making the most of ours. Yet, when we're old and in our grave, and thinking back to when we were 17, we'll see ourselves as Ephram. We'd be a little less wordly, a little less educated - a LOT more athletic - and yet still manage to have the world by the balls. We've done pretty well for ourselves, but we'd trade it all for a week of pre-senior year fun.
